    Good Evening

I want to Comment on Flex/Consolidated Flex as it relates to Plantation Acres( as a protected rural public interest district) and other single family neighborhoods within Plantation.

To protect the integrity of these neighborhoods it is imperative that P&Z Staff, City Council , & Mayor Sortal take the actions necessary to permanently restrict these areas from assignment of flex units that will allow over-development of these areas.

I thank all involved for your consideration.

I oppose any changes to the zoning in Plantation Acres, by FLEX or any other means.
We have been fighting this issue for generations, and kudos to the residents for remaining diligent. It is time for our elected leaders to put the health and safety of the residents FIRST, over greedy developers. Please hear us.

The issue of Flex has been in limbo for far too long regarding its consideration within Plantation Acres. There has not been one voice heard, not one, that is in favor of increasing the density within Plantation Acres. There is 100% agreement from residents. You have the rare opportunity here to both do what is right and what is wanted by your constituency. I implore you to fully reject flex in Plantation Acres and put this issue to rest.

I would like to state that a Special Public Interest District should not have any change in zoning, per flex. I am tired of hearing my own voice. So I can imagine you hearing all of your constituents saying the same thing over and over. There is a good reason for our land to have special codes that help in such a low lying flood area. Developing will make it that much more difficult to rid ourselves of the dangerous standing water that we already have issues with at this time. Thank you.

Please protect and exempt the RURAL SPI-1 district from Flexibility / Reserve / Bonus Density / Affordable Housing and all of the backdoors, loopholes, waivers, variances, exceptions, and so on that fail to support the rural characteristics of Plantation Acres.

I oppose any changes to zoning in Plantation Acres. As a Special Interest District it should be exempt from any type of Flex zoning units and should not be subject to over-development. Increasing density only serves to financially benefit developers, not the residents of the City. Please help protect and preserve what was promised to the residents of Plantation.

I oppose Flex and Consolidated Flex zoning in Plantation Acres. I believe that Plantation Acres should be exempt from any application of Flex based on the fact that when we were annexed by the City we were designated as a Special Public Interest District with the promised and documented intent that our district's rural attributes should be preserved while protecting the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Plantation Acres.

I oppose the use of Flex/Reserve/Bonus Units to increase the zoning density within Plantation Acres. Plantation Acres was recognized by the City many years ago as a special district with a rural feel. The City needs to continue to respect the special rural nature of Plantation Acres and exempt Plantation Acres from Flex Zoning or any other device that would change the current zoning density.
