This approach is ill-suited for many of our legacy HOA managed neighborhoods; particularly those who cannot rely upon the city for their infrastructure upkeep. For all the reasons provided in our separate emails to the Mayor and Council along with our online petition which, after only 24 hours, has garnered 125 verified signatures, there are too many unanswered questions to proceed. This proposal must be tabled without a first reading.

This is great. I'm so glad to see this getting done. Not only is this really good for the housing stock, but young people will have expanded options when looking for starter homes, families can stay closer together without sacrificing privacy, and older people can age in place. Everyone wins. Plus, it's about time people had the freedom to do what they want with their property.
