The gymnasium space is 1/3 of the total square feet of the proposed structure. The amenities making up the remainder of the structure can only be considered Multi-Purpose Event Center, This is clearly outside the scope of Church and school , and the activities and size are incompatible with the neighborhood and would result Unsafe and Deleterious effects on the community. For the needs the Church Reveals a much smaller structure would be appropriate.

I strongly support Plantation Baptist Church’s proposed gymnasium and Christian school. This proposal is not about creating a “mega-church,” increasing constant activity, or changing the neighborhood. It's an accessory building to existing ministries and will not disturb traffic. It will provide needed space for existing ministries and educational opportunities for local families. I respectfully ask the Council to recognize this as a responsible investment that will strengthen our community.
