As the chair of SRAB, I'm a bit biased on this issue, and naturally support it, but the rationale goes beyond "sustainability". The impacts of nutrients going into our groundwater and waterways is felt by engineering in clearing algal blooms, overgrowth, and everyone in increased flooding, noxious odors from undesirable growth, and compromised waterways for flow and life. This saves us money as well as improving our infrastructure, while making water areas look nicer and function at their best.
