This would be a great safety improvement for people entering and leaving the park. I see residents regularly running across the street here, and it's in dire need of crossing assistance. However, I strongly oppose the use of hybrid beacons (known as HAWK beacons). They are confusing for drivers (too many phases and don't behave like a traffic light) and are no longer recommended by FDOT for use. A simple go/no go light along with the lighted "Stop for pedestrians" signs on the side is best.
